Mismatch= Burnout: Workload

Decades of research from Maslach and Leiter indicate that mismatches between jobs and workers predict burnout risk in six areas.

For the next 6 posts, we will review each area. Follow us to get all six posts.

The first area is workload. When workload surpasses employee resources then burnout risk increases. This can be the volume of work or other factors such as environmental (distractions), complexity (tech changes), or a plethora of other factors.

Suspect workload issues?  Put together a team of key players, evaluate relevant factors, and use flexible, outside-the-box problem-solving to implement design changes. Better Matches = Better Results.
